We understand the importance of multi-currency payment processing for businesses. That's why we offer a seamless and secure payment gateway that supports multiple currencies in 80+ countries, including USD, EUR, GBP, NGN, KES, AED, and GHS.

Businesses registered in Ghana, Nigeria, Canada, Dubai, Uganda, Kenya, and the United States are all supported on WeWire Africa.

User Account

  • Step 1: Visit www.wewire.com
  • Step 2: Click on Signup or create an account
  • Step 3: Fill in your details and click Signup
  • Step 4: Complete your onboarding, and you are good to go!

Usually, the documents we need during the account setup process differ based on the type of account you're requesting:

  • Individual Account: Means of Identification and a facial recognition capture
  • Business Account:

    1. Board resolution nominating an authorised person to act on behalf of the company.
    2. Business registration documents
    3. ID cards of Directors
    4. Proof of residential address for Business

We accept government-issued driver's licenses, passport cards, national identification cards, and visa documents.

Generally, our onboarding timelines vary depending on the type of account you're applying for:

  • Individual Account: In less than 10 minutes after all requirements have been provided and approved.
  • Business Account: Your opening depends on how fast you provide the required documentation. Once all required documents are provided, verification is completed within 24 hours.

To reset your password, click on the ‘FORGOT PASSWORD’ link while trying to sign into your WeWire account. An email with a link to help you reset will be sent after.

Wallets

Customers cannot do direct wallet funding with USD on the dashboard. However, customers can swap from other currencies to USD.

Customers are currently unable to use the WeWire app for dollar transfers. However, we provide this service via our OTC trading desk. Reach out to the OTC team at support@wewire.com to get started.

Virtual Cards

To obtain a virtual card, simply sign up for an account with WeWire Africa. Once your account is verified, you can generate virtual cards through our platform by clicking the ‘cards’ option and filling in all necessary information.

Creating a virtual dollar card on WeWire costs $5.

Yes, funding your WeWire dollar card costs $1 every time you fund it.

Once a card is terminated on WeWire, the details of the card cannot be restored for security reasons, and a new one has to be created if needed.

Yes, WeWire virtual card processes refunds. All refunds are returned to your WeWire virtual card once the refunding party or website issues the refund.

OTC Desk

The WeWire customer app currently doesn't support UGX and TZS transactions. However, we support these currencies and more via our OTC services. Simply reach out to the OTC team at support@wewire.com .
